Canon PowerShot S100
There's not much the S100 can't do. We love the picture quality, the small size, that front lens ring with customisable shooting modes and the GPS technology. FlexiZone AF and the new grip also right the S95's wrongs.
Pros:
- Great pictures
- biggest zoom in category
- more control than S95
Cons:
- Poor close-focusing
- very expensive
- no hotshoe for viewfinder or extra flash
- 200 shots per charge

Canon PowerShot S100
Canon's premium pocket digital camera, the PowerShot S100, gets a facelift, plus the addition of a wider lens, higher resolution video, a few more megapixels, and built-in GPS. It's not quite as fast in the autofocus department as we like to see, but otherwise it's an incremental improvement in all...
Pros:
- Slimmer than past models
- Higher resolution with slightly better light sensitivity
- GPS radio syncs clock
- shows where images are captured on bundled map software
- 5x stabilized lens covers 24-120mm equivalent
- 1080p video
- Camera autofocuses while shooting video
- Optical zoom is also available
Cons:
- Costs US$30 more than predecessor
- Slight buzz is audible when zooming during video recording
- Full HD video at 24p only
- 24mm lens can cause distortion in people pictures
- Somewhat soft corners at wide angle
- Weak flash (common in compacts
- Autofocus speed could be faster
- Low light autofocus limit

Canon PowerShot S100
Canon's PowerShot S100 is a pocket-sized camera aimed at enthusiasts who want a compact model which doesn't compromise on features. Announced in September 2011, it replaces the earlier PowerShot S95 which proved to be one of Canon's most popular models in the past year.

- Flexible 5x zoom with bright f2.0 aperture at 24mm
- Support for RAW and manual exposures
- 1080p and slow motion movies
- Built-in GPS with optional logging
Cons:
- Short battery life
- Even shorter with GPS on, Focal ratio greatly reduces when zooming-in, No hotshoe or accessory port
- No viewfinder

Canon PowerShot S100 Review
UPDATED: Canon's S100 is a small, pocket-sized advanced compact that packs a larger than average 1/1.7in sensor, a 24-120mm zoom and full manual control. But with the advanced compact market more competitive than ever can the S100 still cut it a year after its launch?
Pros:
- Front control ring
- small size
- GPS
- image quality
Cons:
- No hotshoe or full flash control
- expensive
- AF-area buried in menu settings

Pros:
- Front control ring
- small size
- GPS
- image quality

Canon PowerShot S100: Where it all began...
[NB: My camera is branded Ixus, but the S100 is absolutely identical except for the name, as explained in the introductory section of the review.] == Introduction == Canon's range of Ixus digital cameras has been highly successful for a very long time now.

High quality product
One of my friends showed me a few weeks ago a HD video he shot with his Canon HF10 camera. I did not own a video camera, and had not been keeping up with the camcorder market - so I did not realize how much technology has advanced.
Pros:
- Comfortable to Operate
- Durable
- Great Features
- Great Picture Quality
- Simple Controls
- Versatile
Cons:
- Poor Battery Life
