Full manual controls and RAW shooting; superb feature set for any level of photographer; excellent image quality; 1080p and superslow-motion video modes
Pros:

Cons:
- Short battery life, especially when GPS is used
- sluggish RAW shooting and flash-recycling times

Bought in the U.S. from Bestbuy ( www.bestbuy.com ) for about 430 USD. It is in the current situation around 3100 kr. In Sweden, it may still be a bit too pricey. The quality of the camera feels solid. Pictures are great. Small and flexible. Fun with GPS capability.

Had a problem with the lens not retracting and freezing the camera. Contacted Canon and they sent me PrePaid postage to send it for repair, Turn around was 8 days and the camera was completely fixed for free. Greatest camera service ever experienced

A quality compact camera with great features.
Looking for a compact to fit in your jeans or shirt pocket. Where most compacts are too thick, oddly shaped or have a lens that protrudes excessively the Canon S100 fits the pocket perfectly. Sure it could always be smaller but that would be too small.

High quality product
One of my friends showed me a few weeks ago a HD video he shot with his Canon HF10 camera. I did not own a video camera, and had not been keeping up with the camcorder market - so I did not realize how much technology has advanced.
