Pretty bad quality camera...
As a faithful Canon User i am disappointed!!! I like the design of the camera and judging from the predecessors S90 and S95 I hoped that the S100 will be a pinacle of point and shoot cameras, but I was wrong...
Pros:
- Good list of specs if it works
- HD videos
- The camera feels sturdy and i like magnesium alloy casing feels good to the touch
Cons:
- Severe Quality issues
- Battery life
- Pretty slow to start to focus to zoom
- The images are not sharp
- autofocus sometimes just doesn't do its job
- No optical viewfinder.....

Canon Powershot S100
The Canon Powershot S100 is an excellent digital camera. If you are looking for a camera to carry everywhere you go with plenty of features then this could be the camera for you. It is hard to find fault and the Powershot S100 compares very well with digital cameras with a similar set of features...

The Canon Powershot S95, one of the best compact cameras in the world was launched in September 2010. It belongs to Canon's S series and was followed by the S90. Though the S90 was a decent camera when it came to performances, the S95 was the camera that blew the world away.

This little black offering fits into the smallest pocket but can take HD video as well as rather nice still images. Even if you have a larger and more powerful unit, this can be ready even before that comes from the bag.

Excellent value and performance for it's size
I wanted to get rid of my large SLR camera but didn't want to compromise the SLR picture quality and camera features. I found what I was looking for in the Canon Powershot S100 - it is small enough to put in my purse and still takes excellent pictures. I am very pleased with my purchase so far.

Very compact versatile camera
Excellent camera and small enough to always have on me. However because it is so small it is sometimes awkward to hold and I find myself putting my finger on the flash when it pops up. Sharp, fast lens. Keep a spare battery, it does drain quickly.
