Canon Powershot S100 Review
On evaluating the scores for each of our tests, we found that Canon Powershot S100, dethroned our last year's best performing camera - the Olympus XZ1. This is the best high end compact in the market today. You will never fall short of any features including the battery sipping GPS.
Pros:
- Fast f/2.0 lens
- Great sharpness and image quality
- Great high ISO performance
- RAW support
- Control Ring customisations
Cons:
- High price
- Lower rated battery pack

For photographers who like to take control over their cameras the S100 provides a near DSLR-like level of manual control in an easily pocketable 'take-anywhere' camera.
Pros:

- Well optimized JPEGs
- low contrast detail is well-preserved at low ISO settings
- Automatic fringing/CA correction in JPEGs

Cons:
- Manual focus preview resolution is too low to be useful
- Lack of in-camera alignment of HDR images makes it a much less useful feature than it could be
- Auto ISO is limited to 1600 (wasting two stops of extra ISO sensitivity
