Canon PowerShot G12 Review
At an MRP of Rs. 31,995, the G12 is costly. Entry level dSLR cameras are cheaper, and will give you better results. The G12 is as good as, or better than, most compact cameras, but it is also pricey enough to warrant second thought. At this price point, an ultra zoom would be better value.
Pros:

- Wealth of manual controls
- Fairly good image quality
Cons:
- Expensive
- not value for money
- Entry level dSLRs are cheaper

Tweet To know what the G12 is, it is best to know what it is not. It is not a camera the amateur will find solace in, oh so gently taking the hand and guiding one into the wondrous world of photography. It is not the small colourful compact meant for parties and family get-togethers.

Canon PowerShot G12 review
The PowerShot G12 sports scene modes and custom colour modes, and it also includes an HDR mode. It's a very good camera overall, but its picture quality is not up to the standard of an interchangeable lens camera, nor a digital SLR (such as the great Canon EOS 60D).
