Great

I love this camera and have no problems! Took it to Europe and worked amazingly! Take the battery out to safe on charging it. I only had to charge the battery twice while I was there

Canon PowerShot D30

The Canon PowerShot D30 ($329.99) is, from an imaging perspective, a very minor update to the older D20 . Its lens, 12-megapixel image sensor, and image processor are the same, which is to say they're a couple of years old at this point.

Waterproof to 82 feet; Sharp 5x zoom lens; Slow motion video mode; GPS

Images on the noisy side; Slow shot to shot time; 1080p video limited to 24fps; No Wi-Fi

I choose the D30 over all the other compact underwater cameras for two reasons: · Image file sizes are smaller, which counts when you take hundreds of photos every day; · Noise reduction has been toned down and does not create a watercolour look in your photos.

Canon Powershot D30 review

Canon's PowerShot D30 is a waterproof and ruggedized compact camera designed to compete with the Nikon Coolpix AW120, Olympus Tough TG-3 , Panasonic Lumix FT5 and Ricoh WG-4 GPS. To keep pace with these cameras, Canon made the D30 considerably tougher than the previous D20.

"Great camera"

This camera is well build, with good quality. Has good composite materials, and the rubber makes it suitable in both wet and cold weather conditions. The buttons are well positioned, and the menus are intuitive.

82 feet deep without bulky cases ; A diver's dream ; Long battery life ; Great underwater video

Bigger than my previous cameras

Canon PowerShot D30 review

The Canon PowerShot D30 is an update to the more than two-year-old PowerShot D20 and as such you might expect a number of significant changes and improvements. The D30 certainly looks different, but below the surface not a great deal has changed.

Water-proof to 25 metres; 1cm macro close focus; Adjustable wrist strap

No 60p video modes; No HD slow motion modes; Mono mic; Small f3.9 maximum aperture; Slow continuous shooting; Spongy shutter release

Another unit from Canons excellent PowerShot range. Here a small unit with periscopic zoom as this is a waterproof unit and this is essential for those wanting to takes images under water. It also takes excellent dry land images.
