The Canon Powershot D20 is a rugged camera designed for use in extreme environments. Its waterproof build can be submerged to depth of 10m, withstand drops of 1.5m and be taken outside down to -10C. Needless to say, this camera can handle any type of weather.

Low image-noise until ISO 400; Nicely saturated colors; Generally responsive; Good stabilization; Quick optical zoom; Sharp MF-Assist view; Excellent LCD visibility; Excellent rugged construction; Quick shutter-lag; Good battery-life for GPS-enabled camera; Easy to press buttons

Canon Powershot D20

For a camera specialist company like Canon, the D20 is a bit of a surprise. The somewhat chunky compact features a unique design with some counterintuitive elements, like the fact the shutter button is on the right, and yet you can only attach a wrist strap to the left-hand-side of the camera.

love it!

I am using this so far in freshwater. Works well especially for macro shots of things that are not moving(a crawfish or plants)sometimes it is a little slow so I missed a few good shots but I am still in love! Works great and what a great deal.

Canon PowerShot D20

The Canon PowerShot D20 is one of the better waterproof cameras we've tested, featuring a rugged, element-defying design. Its 12.1-megapixel CMOS sensor and 28-140mm zoom lens deliver good quality still and video images, but not good enough that you'll be mistaking the Canon D20 for an...

Fantastic at the water parks...

This point and shoot camera is IMO fantastic. If you want something that will survive the surf at Typhoon Lagoon, record you kid on her first descent of Summit Plummet at Blizzard Beach then this is the camera.

Canon PowerShot D20

We've tested a whole bunch of tough, rugged and waterproof digital compact cameras. They may well be shockproof, freezeproof and dustproof too, but, truth be told, no company has got the full package quite right after many years' worth of attempts.

Waterproof; tough; rugged; GPS; lens-based stabilisation; 3-inch 416k-dot LCD

Awkward design; bunched up zoom buttons placement; easy to get in finger in front of lens; slow autofocus; lack of user-defined controls (AF point placement; manual shooting); so-so image quality
