Canon PowerShot D20
Designed for traveling, with some constraints. One reviewer quite poetically says that the Canon PowerShot D20's colorful and curvy design "appears to have been be inspired by tropical fish.
Pros:
- Rugged
- uniquely styled body
- Good underwater photo quality
- Plenty of special effects and scene selection
Cons:
- Bulky camera body
- Lens is on the slow side
- No sweep panorama feature

For anyone keeping track of Canon's waterproof camera range, you'll realise that it has been quite a while since the company's first model, the D10 , made its debut. - Big buttons are ideal for underwater
- Tough and rugged design
Cons:

Ars Gratia Artis
In my humble opinion (of 40+ years of diving and underwater photography) Canon could have done a lot better by designing areal pressure-resistant camera around better specs. Canon could've well kept the design and shape of the D10.

Canon Powershot D20
If you need a camera that is tough enough to withstand the odd knock, and can do a job underwater the Powershot D20 does a fantastic job for the price, otherwise you're better off looking elsewhere.

Canon Powershot D20
For a camera specialist company like Canon, the D20 is a bit of a surprise. The somewhat chunky compact features a unique design with some counterintuitive elements, like the fact the shutter button is on the right, and yet you can only attach a wrist strap to the left-hand-side of the camera.

Pretty good camera it does what it says it will do but I returned it only because I found a better deal at my local walmart for around the same price, the new fujifilm that can go up to 50 feet under water, but if I hadn't found this camera I would have kept the cannon, good camera over all.

If you need a camera that is tough enough to withstand the odd knock, and can do a job underwater the Powershot D20 does a fantastic job for the price, otherwise you're better off looking elsewhere.
Pros:
- Get up close with the Canon Powershot D20, and you'll soon see that it's a rugged thing
- It feels reassuringly weighty when held
- It's hardly a looker, but in terms of durability, it does a job
- It may be one of those so-called rugged cameras, but the Powershot D20 is capable of some great shots.
Cons:
- While the Powershot D20 is capable of producing some lovely shots, as a compact camera in daily use it still has a lot to live up to when compared to more traditional compacts
- If you want all-round performance you're better off getting a ‘non-rugged' compact snapper.
