So Far, So Good!

I like the camera. However, I do not like having to press the shuttle button half way down to get a sharp focus.

Easy To Use; Good in Low Light; Great Zoom; Large Clear LCD; Nice Body Color; Short Lag Time; Small / Compact

Limited Zoom

Good quality

Good quality camera delivering excellent results. Obviously been in stock for a while as it had an out of date voucher attached to the box which had expired some 6 months before.

Good value for the money

If you want a bare bones simple to use camera this one is quite good. The build construction and the picture quality is not quite as good as the Canon Elph series but it is certainly worth the money.

It's tiny, well-made, and runs CHDK nicely... and cost me under $100 when I bought a little fleet for the students in my "Cameras as Computing Systems" course. Issues Sure: (1) No aperture.

Canon PowerShot A4000IS

Canon does a lot of professional cameras however they also have two ranges, Ixus and PowerShot, suitable for home and pocket use. Here the latest offering, the CanonPowerShotA4000IS, in what used to be the larger of the two small units - the PowerShot, which has shrunk.

Canon PowerShot A4000 IS

Under the right conditions, the Canon PowerShot A4000 IS ($199.99 direct) is a camera capable of capturing some very nice photos, although you'll quickly lose detail if you set its ISO too high.

Sharp photos; 8x zoom range; Optical image stabilization

Slow to start up and recycle; Excessive noise reduction; Limited to digital zoom during video recording

Canon PowerShot A4000 IS Review

While the PowerShot A4000 IS isn't going to blow any minds, it will fit the bill as a dependable, quality camera for quite a few.

Nice; simple control interface; Inner-navigation is incredibly simple; Just enough extra options to keep exploring

You're limited with it comes to ISO; Average low light performance at best
