Fast, capably specified and offering a clutch of useful features, the £479 Canon is the priciest model on test but ticks almost every box. And despite its large footprint, it even looks quite attractive.
Good set of specifications; low running costs; realistic colour palette; strong print speeds; particularly in duplex mode.
Somewhat bulky and expensive
It worked fine until it needed a new fuser unit, or even toner catridges. They cost almost as much as a new printer. The fuser unit died just after the second lot of toners were installed. Not good value at all.
Bought for 1890 - so is reviewed with respect to the price. Have you place so buy it, it's big and heavy but fiendishly fast even on duplex. Is nothing to criticize in print quality. Drivers for Windows7 to get download, Win8 already exists.
