With sharp lines, boxy edges, a beautiful sheen and an all-coloured casing in blue, red, silver or black, the Canon PowerShot ELPH 520 HSis hugely fashionable in its style. Apart from its stunning design, the ELPH 520HS is also a technical marvel by becoming the world?

Average IXUS
There are many reviews which I don't want to repeat. (a) The battery life is disappointing. Maybe it improves over a period of time. (b) I am not a professional, still I felt the image quality is not outstanding. My age old 5 Megapixel Powershot also provides the same image quality.

Canon IXUS 500 HS
Canon's IXUS range of pocket point and shoot cameras has always been as much about form as function - an approach that sets it apart from the parallel PowerShot family that concentrates more on function than form.
Pros:
- Well built
- pocket sized and stylish in appearance
- decent sized screen
- Full HD video
- HDMI output
Cons:
- You're paying around £100 extra for the glossy good looks here
- battery life is modest
- microSD storage is small and fiddly
- backplate button small and operational layout confusing at first

Canon Ixus 500 HS review
Pocket-megazoom cameras have been around for a few years now, but you probably haven't seen one as small or as simple as the Canon PowerShot Elph 520 HS. In a way, it represents a new breed of basic compact camera : Rather than cramming more megapixels into a tiny sensor, the 10-megapixel Ixus 500...
