Canon IXUS 500 HS line boasts a new entry at the $299 price. This lineup was made famous a while back by offering consumers super zoom cameras. The features, effects, setting, specs and – most importantly – performance are the elements that give a gadget very good or very bad marks.

I would recommend it to anyone
Very versatile camera with tons of professional features/effects. I would recommend it to anyone. In fact it was that good that I bought second camera for my mum.

Battery life is very less.But product is better.

You can't beat this quality of this solid little Canon for the money!
My philosophy is: "if it fits in your pocket it good". I took this camera to Paris and the beaches of Utah and Omaha. It took pictures that would rival any high dollar SLR camera. Tha big plus was the video's that it produced.

The perfecct camera with the perfect imagess
This camera is seriously so light and slim and thin. Very stylish and at the same time it gives stylish photos too! With the Auto scene function, I get the best images, the camera does everything for me I just got to hit the shutter button.

Below expectation for an Ixus
Bought this after I lost my old Ixus 80IS and was very disappointed.
