The Canon PowerShot ELPH 510 HS offers nothing that can't be found elsewhere for less.

It's a nice camera made out of metal. Not a small one and therefore it's adequate for bigger hands. But the picture-quality isn't that good. With a clear blue sky you could shoot some good pics. But when you you need to use the flash all you got are pics with gleaming and unnatural colors.
Daniel Bell reviews the Canon IXUS 1100 HS, a compact digital camera with a massive 12x optical zoom.
Produces excellent images; Good noise performance up to ISO 1600; Metal body; 12x zoom lens pack into a small camera; Full 1080p HD video recording; Wide range of creative modes; Responsive touch screen
Quite expensive; Battery life is short
The Canon IXUS 1100 HS is an all-new touch-screen compact that takes over as the flagship model in Canon's style-driven IXUS range. As such it supersedes the highly-rated Canon IXUS 1000 HS that was launched around this time last year, and which earned itself a TrustedReviews ‘Recommended' award.
Big zoom; compact size; Good image quality; Solid low-light performance
Touch-screen control is slow and fiddly; Lacks semi/fully manual control; Lacks a finger grip
The IXUS line of Canon digital compact cameras has been synonymous with excellent optics and build quality since the days of APS film when the first one appeared. Now, IXUS is regarded as the luxury brand of Canon's digital compacts.
The IXUS 1100 HS is a stunning compact with advanced shooting features and great point-and-shoot functionality.
The Canon Ixus 1000 HS was one of our favourite cameras of 2010. Its 10-megapixel sensor, 10x zoom range and 1080p video recording were a great combination of features, and the resulting photos and videos were the best we'd seen from a big-zoom compact camera.
Short video capture
Small; decent image quality in daylight; touchscreen
High levels of chromatic aberration
We bought this to replace a 6 year old 5MP 12x Optical Zoom with a 4x Digital Zoom. This camera with its 12.1 MP quality really impresses. The ease of point and shoot with great quality that surpasses my expectations. I haven't used the video features yet but I expect those to dazzle.
Smartphones with ever better on-board cameras are ruthlessly encroaching on the point and shoot camera's territory, which goes a long way toward explaining why lots of digital cameras now come equipped with touchscreen LCD's and other smartphone features.
12x zoom; Pocketable; Relatively inexpensive; Very good to excellent image quality
Below average battery life; Imprecise touchscreen controls
