Canon EOS M6

Canon have produced a highly functional camera in the new EOS M6. This entry level camera will take amazing pictures despite its non-extravagant look. It’s small, light (weighing in at a mere 390g) and is perfect for traveling, hiking and other slow-paced adventure sports. Here are some specifications to help you decide whether this is the camera for you.

The first feature worth mentioning is the 24.2MP function this camera delivers. The camera may not be the most glamorous, but the image quality is hard to beat for such an entry level device. The Canon EOS M6 also has a video recording capability, and your videos will reach up to 60p in full HD (7 frames per second).

To further assist the quality of your photos, anti-shaking software has been installed courtesy of 5-Axis Digital IS. You’ll also be happy to learn that Dual Pixel CMOS AF also forms part of your camera to ensure quick response on photos, and smooth recording for videos. Finally, there is also a built-in low-pass filter which will help you do some basic editing before you even move images to another device!

This camera also boasts WiFi & Bluetooth functions for easy sharing of your images. If you’re part of a community of photographers who come together to share, then this camera will serve you well in building photographer relationships.

... a 7D mk ii or 80d packed into a beautiful little camera

Quality of a 7D mk ii or 80d packed into a beautiful little camera, only downside is the lack of viewfinder, however, for video work it functions perfectly for 1080p, the powerful 24mp sensor also makes for some beautiful detailed pictures. Highly recommended!

Canon EOS M6 Kit

A fine camera for those entering the world of mirrorless with changeable lenses. Not as compact as some might want in a travel point and shoot, and the wi-fi connect is a bit clunky, but for the current price and features it holds a favorable place many will appreciate and value.

A excellent Canon EVF

This was the finishing touch to my new light-weight camera system. After adding an EF lenses adapter ring to my new Canon EOS M6 this EVF-DC2 completes the kit. With the Canon M6 it works straight out of the box and is mounted on the flash shoe.

Brilliant Small Camera

Brilliant Small Camera with most EOS SLR features and programs. I t can be hard to see the LCD screen sometimes, but after purchasing the EVF-DC2 Electronic Viewfinder Accessory, I am now really happy using this camera in very sunny conditions.

The perfect pocket camera

This is a great camera from Canon. It feels comfortable and well balanced in the hand. The rear touch screen is detailed, large and easy to use. It also tilts 45 degrees which I also found really useful.

Canon EOS M6 Review

If you are looking for an extremely high image quality to camera size ratio, the Canon EOS M6 may have your name on it. While the M6 is a tiny camera, it gives up nothing in terms of image quality to any of Canon's other current APS-C sensor format EOS models, including both DSLR cameras and MILCs...

Canon EOS M6 Review

Canon announced the EOS M6 back in February 2017 and it's now available in the Philippines this month. It's actually a quick follow-up to the Canon EOS M5 that was announced in September 2016 and released in the Philippines around December 2016.

More affordable than the M5; Good build quality; Dual-pixel autofocus; Great picture quality; WiFi and Bluetooth support

No 4K video recording

DSLRs and mirrorless camera are all the rage these days, but what if you just wanted a simple compact solution that isn't complicated to operate? Sure, your smartphone might provide a decent option, but not all smartphones these days have that great of a shooter.

Great image quality; Compact

Stiff controls

Canon EOS M6 Mirrorless Camera Review

I must say that like many cameras these days the Canon M6 is perhaps overloaded with options and at first blush some potential users will be overwhelmed and even put off by the maxed out features, especially when bravely plowing through the online instruction manual.

Despite Canon's continued dominance of the DSLR market, as well as a strong performance in the premium compact sector, its CSC range has had a relatively unremarkable start, with only four UK models released over a five-year period.
