Canon EOS M50

Verdict: Canon's mirrorless lineup has been around for a couple of years now, but the company has taken its own sweet time in bringing the series up to speed with the latest features. Meanwhile, others like Sony and Fujifilm have embraced the mirrorless segment with open arms, delivering some truly...
Pros: Light and compact body, Fully articulating display, Above-average image quality in daylight, Dual Pixel autofocus works well
Cons: Weak battery life, Slow autofocus at 4K, Average high-ISO performance

Canon EOS M50 Review

Verdict: While the M50 is a solid little camera for the price, Canon has effectively set the bar for future DSLR and mirrorless camera offerings. Going forward, Canon can no longer justify the release of a DSLR or mirrorless camera without 4K video capture.

Verdict: The EOS M50 is only the second EOS M model to have an electronic viewfinder; it's the first to shoot 4K video; and it's being sold at a pretty competitive price. This could be the EOS M camera where Canon has finally got the balance right.

Verdict: Sometimes you don't want the sound of a camera interrupting the perfect moment, whether it's the bride saying "I do" or your newborn baby sleeping. Silent Mode helps you make sure your camera doesn't startle your subject by enabling capture with virtually no shutter sound.

Verdict: The Canon M50 has to be one of Canon's best mirrorless camera options yet; but at the moment of writing this review, it still feels like Canon is intentionally holding themselves back for reasons that I genuinely don't understand.

Verdict: It was an unusual day that started with a moderately heavy spring snow storm. I didn't have much time to go out and photograph the storm, but the M50 was handy with the Canon EF-M 18-150mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM Lens already mounted.

Canon EOS M50

Verdict: The Canon EOS M50 may be the newest entry level camera in the M lineup for Canon, but it's already the most advanced. With features like 24.1MP APS-C CMOS image sensor, this little camera can record 4K (1.6x cropped) video, Dual Pixel CMOS autofocus with a whopping 96 focus points, and 720p HD video...

Verdict: The Canon EOS M50 is an upper entry-level mirrorless camera with a 24 Megapixel APSC sensor, confident autofocus (for stills and 1080p video), small but crisp OLED viewfinder, excellent wireless, and becomes Canon's first mirrorless with 4k video, a fully-articulated touch-screen, eye detection and...
