good entry level camera, alto other then the object tracking, good for videos, nothing new compared to any of the 5y old dslr.
Ease of operation is one of the key selling points of the Canon EOS M100, a fun, compact and mirrorless camera. Even though this is considered an entry-level model for those new to interchangeable-lens cameras, it boasts a lot of top-line features.
The ability to access all operations through the M100's full touchscreen interface is one of the big reasons why this model is the epitome of easiness. It's not just a touch screen - it's a 180-degree tilt screen too.
It's just as easy to achieve a fast and precise focus, thanks to dual pixel CMOS AF, touted by Canon as their most advanced autofocus system.
As well as upgrading the sensor to 24.2-megapixels, up from 18-megapixels on previous models, Canon has introduced a new and improved image processor as well, for better overall performance and results.
Experimenting with a new lens from time to time is just part of a photographer's journey as they gain confidence. The M100 gives the user the chance to mix and match with a range of quality lens types - it takes Canon EF-M lenses, as well as EF and EF-S lenses.
If you can change the lens, why not change the colour as well? The M100 gives the user a choice of nine different-coloured jackets to suit the user's individual preferences.

I received this product with the INCORRECT CAMERA LENS. I noticed that the lens given in the box WAS NOT the correct lens even though it did fit the camera body. The lens have 12mm written on it, not 15-45mm. It is branded "ROKINON" and says "Technology by SAMYANG MADE IN KOREA".
In the past, the focus had always been on DSLRs, the cash cow of the Japanese camera maker. Then, there's the fear of cannibalising existing product lines, which has always held back Canon as well as rival Nikon.
Was hoping it to be a perfect camera, but ended up being useless in everything. I planned to use it for special evenings with friends, where the small body and kit lens is unobtrusive, yet I have better lens and night shots than a smartphone.
I used the camera only 4 days after purchase. Its easy to use and lightweight. The quality of the photos and videos are good .The camera instructions are simple to follow.
If you want to take terrific pictures with this little beast set it on Intelligent Automatic. However. if you want to tinker with settings, this camera is not for you. the lens seems quite fine.
I had been looking for a compact camera that produces high quality photos and videos for the last few years. I've found it in the Canon EOS M100. I've been carrying around DSLR cameras for the last several years.
Brought this camera for a upcoming holiday. Its great for people who are starting to want more than the average digital camera.
Already have the m6, I bought this as a back up and another useful angle and something even smaller to take out and about. It's been an instant success, in some ways I like the simplicity and quick operation when using the menu set up instead of dials all over the camera.
Great Features; Great Picture Quality; Lightweight; Simple Controls
Fantastic camera, takes great photos and has lots of features. Is relatively easy to use and doesn't require a massive amount of experience. The perfect tradeoff between portability of a compact camera and the flexibility + quality of a DSLR. Perfect travel camera.
