Canon EOS 7D Mark II review: King of quality

To pinch the well-known slogan: good things come to those who wait. And wait we have. For the Canon EOS 7D Mark II is a DSLR that has shunned the typically frequent product cycle, instead taking five whole years to calculate its position in the market.
Pros:
  • Fantastic image quality including to high ISO sensitivities
  • rugged and weather-sealed build quality
  • new 65-point autofocus system is brilliant
  • stacks of customisation
  • battery outperforms official quota
Cons:
  • No tilt-angle screen
  • no touch controls
  • live view autofocus not always on point
  • not a huge image quality upgrade over original 7D
  • no 4K video
  • no Wi-Fi built-in

Canon EOS 7D Mark II Review

Great review! Thanks for sharing. Is it possible to "rack" the autofocus between to pre-determined points by pressing a button? Thanks! ~Adam I think that is a C100 feature. Thanks! I actually have a Sony RX10 II now and it's really an amazing camera.

Canon 7D Mark II Review

The Canon 7D Mark II is a fantastic DSLR. While it has some video shooting chops to it, the camera is first and foremost a sports- and wildlife-shooting beast.
