EDIT: Just spoke with Canon, the camera is from the US, but Shutter Stop is not an authorized Canon dealer, so there is no warranty. Camera appears to be new, but there was no warranty card included, no software CD, and the box indicates that it should include the wifi/SD card, but was not included...

On my second 7D
Originally bought a 7D in 2008, which recently completely died. Havent taken it in for repairs but it was time to get something new anyway. After looking around at all the options, and including my budget, decided the new functions on the 7D (Mark II) were worth sticking with the format Im so...

Dream photography
I had been wanting a 7D for quite some time and when I was able to buy one I looked around for the best deal. John Lewis priced the camera at the market value and was the only supplier that I found who gave a two year guarantee, the others were just one year.

Pro grade SLR camera at great price
Professional grade SLR camera. 20 mega pixel, 10 frames per second, HD video, environment sealed and alloy body. Good for sports and wildlife when combined with zoom lense. Good price from Jbhifi and canon cash back enabled me to get it at amazing price.

Great upgrade
Upgrade from my 7D. Much better/faster focus points for fast moving events. Faster shooting and better processing. Well worth the upgrade. The controls have been changed around a bit so you can't just jump into using it without a bit of a curve.
Pros:
- fast
- ISO
Cons:
- Changes to controls

Great Features!
I bought my first Canon in 1979, an A-1 and then I bought a second one, also an A-1. I went digital with a Rebel T-5 in 2016 to shoot a wedding, then upgraded it to a 7D Mark II in 2017. I enjoy outdoor land & waterscapes, and wildlife photography, but wanted to go full frame and mirrorless.

Blown away but the quality and speed
Bought as an upgrade to original 7D to boost for sports and music. Absolutely floored by the enormous step up in speed, shutter smoothness, body feel, cleaner processing, and most pleasant of all - the amazing quality produced in the ISO 8000-12800 range at shutter speeds around 1/2000th second.

A huge step up from the original 7d. Flexible and sturdy. I can't believe how fast the lens is, ridiculous!!!

Though mirrorless camera sales continue to grow, the interchangeable lens camera market is still overwhelmingly dominated by traditional DSLRs. And when it comes to traditional DSLRs, the gold standard (for the last couple of years, anyway) has been those with full-frame sensors.

Canon 7D Mark II Review
With both Canon and Nikon sitting quietly for almost 6 years and not releasing updates to their high-end APS-C DSLRs, many thought that demand for such market was dead and neither company would release such a camera.
