I've had this camera for a month now after having the 30D for the past 3 years and using a 5DMk2 for a few months. This camera is a perfect blend of the x0D series and xD series of cameras. If it were a full frame camera, it would definitely be a pro grade camera.

Great picture and video quality; Build Quality is superb; Autofocusing; Great low-light performance at high ISO; Battery Life

No dual CF slots; No 1D-level weather sealing; Incandescent WB preset still not close enough

"Love Hate Relationship"

I loved my 7D straight away, pictures where quality, design was beautiful, and if fits very beautifully in your hand. I was very satisfied with the video quality and the artistic shots you can get with this camera are untouchable from 99% of the camcorders out there. Life was great..

Water Resistent; FAST burst speed; Fits very nicely in the hand

Little heavy for petite users

Canon EOS 7D King of crops!

Good reviewers are nitpicks. And it is this quality that makes us the darling of our readers, and a thorn for manufacturers, whose seemingly perfect products we take apart, and come up with a list of imperfections. As a reviewer, one must school oneself be as objective as possible, eliminating bias.

Very solidly built and nicely weather sealed; Very ergonomically positioned buttons and dials that are highly configurable; Highly intuitive interface and lots of customisable options; Fast; reliable AF system; Capable of excellent quality results across the board; and in a variety of shooting...

ISO 6400 performance will not satisfy those used to full frames; Metering has issues with incandescent lighting; especially yellow lighting; though all dSLRs goof up here; and the 7D is better than many; Loss in finer detail and smearing of textures when shooting red subjects; particularly darker...

Pentax announces the new K-5 DSLR today (September 20, 2010), a year and four months after the announcement of the K-7 (announced May 20, 2009). The K-5 is basically the same size and weight as the K-7 with a few new and improved features: higher megapixels, increasing from 14 to 16MP on the K-5,...

Canon EOS 7D camera

The Canon EOS 7D is one of the newest digital SLRs from Canon . It is aimed at semi-professionals and has several extra features compared to the cheaper digital SLRs. Of course, which improvements you'll be willing to pay the extra money for will be different for different photographers.

Canon EOS 7D Digital Camera Review

Overall, the Canon 7D should be considered, pound for pound and value for money, one of the best DSLR's on the market. Combining such a high-resolution with a frame-rate action photographers would die for, all without compromising its low-light performance, to any noticeable degree, is a major...

Canon EOS 7D Digital Camera Review

Many photographers were a tad confused about the positioning of Canon's new 7D when it was announced to the market. Seemingly, it was considered to be an upgrade to the existing 50D range of camera, but what Canon have, actually, done is given the semi-pro market, and even some pro photographers a...

Canon EOS 7D review

The Canon EOS 7D digital SLR is designed for users who want fast shooting performance. That means sports photographers, nature photographers, and basically anyone who needs to freeze-frame a fast-moving subject.
