The Canon EOS 7D is the manufacturer's flagship APS-C camera. Designed to rival cameras such as the , it combines a high megapixel count with a reasonable price tag. In many respects, this camera can even rival and, if you don't need a full frame camera, you'd be hard pressed to find a reason to buy...
The 7D is a spectacular camera for general use, while the 7D Mark II is much, much better for sports. For nature and landscapes I'd go the extra cost for the 5D Mark II in a heartbeat, but for action in reasonable light, the 7D is an awesome camera.
I am 80 years old and learned Combat Photography during WWII as a student. This camera would have been a real winner then for photoshopping pictures to take out the gorry. I use a 7D and MkII for original, non photoshopped photos.
Easy To Use; Fast / Accurate Auto-Focus; Fast Shutter Speed; High ISO Performance; Quiet
Short Battery Life
As a pro how can you use a camera that will give you about a 35% in focus, and some times even less. I got it as a second body and is a piece of junk..Many photo shoots ruened.
good battery life; Nice features/settings; Quick Start-up time; Superior build quality; Lightweight/Portable; Simple controls/menu
Dim LCD; Shaky operation; Poor image quality; noisy; Difficult to use
I did not buy this from Flipkart - picked this up in the US. This is a great camera and gives you great pictures. It is very versatile in that it gives you speeds of up to 1/8000sec and goes up to 6400 ISO. You cannot manually go below 100 ISO though.
A "joy to shoot with." Since it's aimed toward advanced photographers, including pros on a budget, the Canon EOS 7D skips novice-oriented features. For example, you won't find Portrait or Landscape presets on the mode dial; they're still there, but you have to hit the menu.
Great image quality; Pro-grade speed and features; All-metal and weather-sealed; Fast continuous shooting
No continuous autofocus in movie mode; Only one card slot
I thought it would be a complicated camera to learn just because it was higher end than a point and shoot camera. Turns out it is very easy to learn. You can start out using the automatic settings, which produce some beautiful shots without knowing anything.
Ease of use; Tutorial mode.Covinient!quit NICE
The grip on the right for holding the camera could be more comfortable
This product is great for shooting both video and photography in a variety of settings. I specifically enjoy the vivid clarity of both photo and video results from this camera. Overall, this is an excellent buy for anyone.
Great video and photography capabilities
none
With a budget to spend on a top-end Canon DSLR body you are spoilt for choice. You may decide to go full-frame and invest all of your budget in the 21-megapixel EOS 5D mkII and shoot big files for the ultimate image quality.
