Pentax announces the new K-5 DSLR today (September 20, 2010), a year and four months after the announcement of the K-7 (announced May 20, 2009). The K-5 is basically the same size and weight as the K-7 with a few new and improved features: higher megapixels, increasing from 14 to 16MP on the K-5,...

Fan-damn-tasic
Sent my order for the 7D + the lens on a Tuesday and it came by Friday with FedEx express shipping. The camera is great and I have had no problems with it, I have had it for about 6 months now :D

Canon EOS 7D Camera Review
With a budget to spend on a top-end Canon DSLR body you are spoilt for choice. You may decide to go full-frame and invest all of your budget in the 21-megapixel EOS 5D mkII and shoot big files for the ultimate image quality.

Canon EOS 7D
A "joy to shoot with." Since it's aimed toward advanced photographers, including pros on a budget, the Canon EOS 7D skips novice-oriented features. For example, you won't find Portrait or Landscape presets on the mode dial; they're still there, but you have to hit the menu.
Pros:
- Great image quality
- Pro-grade speed and features
- All-metal and weather-sealed
- Fast continuous shooting
Cons:
- No continuous autofocus in movie mode
- Only one card slot

Canon 7D
The 7D is a spectacular camera for general use, while the 7D Mark II is much, much better for sports. For nature and landscapes I'd go the extra cost for the 5D Mark II in a heartbeat, but for action in reasonable light, the 7D is an awesome camera.

Canon 7D - Cream of the Canon Crop
The Canon 7D is currently the most advanced, non 1D crop body currently produced by Canon - even though it's going on three years old. There are lots of things that make this body stand out compared to the other crop (APS-C 1.6x) factor bodies.
Pros:
- High FPS (8)
- Quality Auto Focus System and Metering System
- strong magnesium build
- 1080p video
Cons:
- Aging technology (getting due for a refresh)
- retail price still slightly high

Canon EOS 7D DSLR Camera Body with 18-55mm IS II and 75-300mm III Lenses 16GB Bundle
The camera was fine, but the battery was non-functioning and one of the lenses is after-market and will not fit. It will cost additional money for us to even know if the camera works as advertised.
