Canon EOS 7D

Canon's EOS 7D digital SLR is designed for users who want fast shooting performance. That means sports photographers, nature photographers, and anyone who needs to freeze-frame a fast-moving subject.

Solid body; Fast burst mode; Versatile focusing modes; Very good high ISO performance

Focusing not always accurate; Could use more accessible focus controls

Canon 7D – Review – 33

Tim Grey loves Canon's new dSLR but hankers after a full-frame sensor You'd need about eight frames per second to capture the rate of camera development. When you're choosing a new kit, you've either got to steel yourself for your new camera's almost instantaneous obsolescence, or be prepared to...

Superfast 8 frames per second shooting; Spiffy new AF system; Sterling HD video capabilities; Impressive ISO performance

1.6x magnification via crop sensor; Weird placement of AF button

Review: Canon EOS 7D

Maybe you're tired of using a crappy point-and-shoot. Or, maybe you feel like you've outgrown your awesome, yet dated, PowerShot G9. Maybe you're just looking to strap up a full-featured DSLR. Canon's newest 7D is the way to go. There's no maybe about it.

Solid build and weatherproofing with pro-style feel in hand; Frame rate is sport-shooter ready; Wireless control of external Speedlite flashes; 8 frames per second in RAW makes us swoon

Noisy pop-up flash motor; Quick-control dial on the back of the camera takes more effort to turn than previous Canon models; Auto white balance in artificial light is bronze-medal worthy at best

Canon EOS 7D

As a smaller sibling to the 5D Mark II, it was the video capabilities that created the buzz around the EOS 7D. It was the only alternative for sensible frame rates, whilst still being able to take advantage of the huge selection of fast EF lenses and giving that pleasing, filmic depth of field look.

Canon EOS 7D Review: Canon's Latest Camera Breaks New Ground in Canon DSLR Line

Canon's new camera is aimed at pros and serious amateurs. The Canon EOS 7D camera defines a new category for Canon not quite fitting in any of the camera maker's existing lines of cameras.

The 7D is one of those things you'll buy and never ever regret, I was genuine about buying and the staff gave me an awesome deal (better than everyone) I'm so happy with it all I strongly recommend the replacement warranty, it a peace of mind.

With the release of the 7D, Canon hasn't so much updated any of its existing cameras as carved out a new niche, creating what the company describes as an "all-rounder" that ostensibly targets the prosumer sports-orientated shooter.

Canon EOS 7D Digital Camera

First I want to say that the Canon 7D camera has improved my action shots, and has increased creativity shots . I am still getting used to to the camera but have had outstanding results as far i am concerned. When you push the ISO using the Canon 7D isn't a bad shoot no more.
