Great for Photography Starters
Bought this camera almost a year ago and still using it now. Great for beginners but also for those who wants to tweak a few things here and there for better pictures. Capable of shooting RAW, and video is superb. However, noise can be high on high ISOs but this can be fixed with post processing.
Canon T5i
The Canon T5i might not be significantly different to the T4i, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. It retains everything we loved about its predecessor, comes with a better lens, and yet costs even less.- Excellent image quality
- 9 cross-type AF points
- Stereo microphones
- Built-in touchscreen
- Multi-shot modes
- Improved kit lens
- Even more affordable, Less expensive than the camera it replaces, 18-55mm STM lens is very quiet, and above average image quality for a kit lens, Solid body with no panel...
- Little-changed from the earlier T4i
- Slow Live View and video autofocus
- High ISO performance is unimproved
- Below-average battery life
- No dedicated AF illuminator, Only one control dial, LCD monitor is a bit glossy for our liking, Dynamic range not as good as competing models, though HTP helps,...
Great DLSR start-up!
My t5i is the perfect starting DLSR and the accessories they include rock! I was really surprised not only by the number of accessories, but the way the accessories work together is changing the way I use my camera.
Best Beginner DSLR
Bought this Camera after reading a lot of reviews. Finally, it was between Nikon 5300D and Canon 700D (considered 1300d as well). The camera came with two Kit lenses 18-55 and 55-250, which are good the images are crisp. The camera is touch enabled.

Review Comparison of the Canon EOS 70D vs Canon 700D / Rebel T5i
Earlier in the year I compared the EOS 5D Mark III and 6D, Canon's least expensive full-frame cameras. Today I'm...
A Great Source of Frustration
I have had many problems with this product. I will write an extensive review when I am certain the poor photographs I produce with this camera are a result of the camera and or myself. In the mean time, I would recommend moving up a grade rather than buying this camera.
Fantastic digital camera and taken some really good photos
Fantastic digital camera and taken some really good photos. Better than any smartphone, but obviously SLR's are not so convenient. You have to go out specially to take a range of pics and with all the kit suggest not handy for taking on your Hols. unless you're a photonut.
