The upgrade to the Canon 700D is so subtle that we spent the first few minutes pondering whether Canon had accidentally sent us its predecessor. Indeed, even Canon seems mildly embarrassed, quietly shuffling the Canon EOS 650D into early retirement, leaving the 600D on the market for those who want...

The entry-level DSLR market is under continual pressure from large sensor mirrorless models, the best of which offer equivalent image quality in a smaller package. And for many novices with smartphone experience, the ability to easily capture video, as well as manipulate a device via a touchscreen...
Pros:
- Comprehensive touchscreen interface that is intuitive and efficient
- High image quality with good balance between detail and noise reduction in JPEG output
- Good subject tracking AF in viewfinder shooting mode (compared to mirrorless competition

Cons:
- Slow 'hybrid AF' performance in live view and video modes (compared to mirrorless competition

Canon Rebel T5i Review
Announced on March 21, 2013 and available in the marketplace this past April, the Canon Rebel T5i becomes the "new flagship model" of the Rebel line. Canon followers will be excused if they are suddenly imbued with a strong sense of deja vu, as the previous Rebel flagship, the T4i, first became...

Canon EOS 700D
The Canon EOS 700D (called the Digital Rebel T5i in North America) is a new DSLR camera that sits above the 600D / T3i at the top of Canon's entry-level EOS line-up. The Canon EOS 700D / Rebel T5i is an extremely modest upgrade of the EOS 650D / Rebel T4i, with the only real changes being the new...

Thought the T4i was what I needed, but the T5i is where it's at
This is an excellent camera. It was very easy to set up, especially with the touch screen. For example each setting would flash a brief description of how it worked. I would recommend this to anyone interested in the SLR range of camera.
Pros:
- Touch screen
- HD video
Cons:
- cost

My first DSLR experience and deciding on my first lens
I purchased the T5i with the 18-135mm lens kit. I LOVE the camera, but wasn't completely satisfied with the lens for my purposes. If you are on a budget the kit lens is capable of giving you great close up and wide angle/zoomed out shots, and for most people I can see this being a good starter lens...
Pros:
- Sharp rotatable display
- Great touch screen brings ease of use
- Very good picture quality
- Full HD video with impressive quality
- Very solid camera construction
Cons:
- Autofocus speed in Live View
- Almost no innovation by the model change

Canon EOS 700D Review
Sitting at the top of Canon's consumer range of DSLR cameras, the EOS 700D is an upgrade to the EOS 650D. The notable improvements include sturdier build, redesigned mode dial, preview for creative filters and higher Live View refresh rate.

Canon Rebel T5i Review
The Canon Rebel T5i (aka 700D outside the US) follows the solid Rebel T4i , which followed the solid Rebel T3i , and so on. The thing about about the Rebel series in the recent iterations is that it seems like Canon is getting rather lazy and predictable with its flagship cameras in the Rebel...

Canon EOS 700D review Canon EOS 700D is the 'flagship' device in company's entry-level consumer DSLR range. Canon has included some creative features as well as a very responsive capacitive touchscreen to make sure this camera appeals to first time users as well as those looking for an upgrade.
