Canon EOS 60D Review
We've come to expect follow-on cameras to generally out-do the camera they're replacing features-wise, and the 60D follows suit in most cases compared to the 50D. Sensor resolution is up and an HD video capability exists where none did before.- Swiveling monitor
- Excellent image quality
- Great high ISO performance
- Slow AF in video mode
- Awkward mode dial
- No continuous video AF
The image quality of the EOS 60D is excellent and on par with the 7D for shooting the typical family or kids events. As an owner of the 30D, 40D and 7D - I find the 60D IQ, handling and overall performance makes it worthy of the xxD designation.
- Great image quality
- Shoots HD video
- Battery lasts a LONG time
- Articulating screen is very nice
- 5.3 fps
- built-in mic doesn't sound too bad considering that it's a built in mic
- Slow to auto focus in video/live view mode
- Battery grip is quite expensive
Canon EOS 60D Digital SLR Review
The Canon EOS 60D is an excellent enthusiast-level camera that offers a variety of new features over its predecessor and excellent image and video quality.- Great photo and video quality
- Articulating display
- Microphone input
- No continous autofocus for video
- Awkward mode dial lock placement
- Display gets easily washed out in sunlight
Canon EOS 60D with 18-135mm lens review
It's not easy following the trajectories of Canon and Nikon's SLR product lines. As Nikon replaces its superb but aging D90 with the considerably more upmarket Nikon D7000 , the Canon 60D is in many ways a downgrade to the 50D it replaces.
Canon EOS 60D review
The EOS 60D sits between the EOS 50D and the EOS 7D in Canon's mid-range digital SLR offerings. It's fast, has a vari-angle LCD screen, shoots high-definition video, and has useful built-in image processing. So far, so good.- Fast burst mode
- excellent high ISO performance
- hinged LCD screen
- full HD video recording
- 8-way control button feels terrible and doesn't always respond
Canon 60D Review
The 60D fits well in the gap between the Rebel series and the 7D. It offers enough features to entice anyone looking at buying a Rebel T3i or 7D to step up or down, respectively. I highly recommend the Canon 60D as a prosumer/enthusiast camera – even more so if you plan on shooting a lot of video...
Canon EOS 60D: Review
Now is the time to see the Canon EOS 60D in action and assess its strengths and weaknesses. Let's start from what, in our view, is the main shortcoming in this model. We are talking about the Auto focus Live View is used when you cannot reach the freezing point in a short time, and this could lose...- Image quality
- Handling
- definition of the display
- Slow AF Live View mode
- Post-production impractical
Canon EOS 60D review
The Canon EOS 60D digital SLR camera is fast, performs well in the dark, takes crisp and vibrant pictures, and it offers plenty of physical improvements over the 50D.
Not cheap but it's excellent
Had one of these for the last 2 months and I have been impressed by just how good this Digital SLR really is. What makes it though is that swivel screen which really comes into it's own when shooting from a low or high angle or just for composing the scene.
