Canon EOS 60D with 18-135mm lens
Superior ergonomics – particularly the bigger viewfinder and articulated screen – make this a shrewd choice for Canon upgraders willing to look beyond the 550D.
Canon EOS 60D
After a longer wait than normal, Canon introduced the EOS 60D to a market keen for its arrival. It arrived into a world where digital SLRs can be seen gracing the neck of everyone who's ever thought of being a photographer, so it wasn't surprising that Canon seemed to have rethought its entry-level...- Excellent 18-megapixel sensor with superb detail
- Very good high ISO performance
- especially for 18-megapixel subframe sensor
- 3.0-inch
- 1,040K-dot Vari-angle LCD is very useful for video and Live View
- Quick Menu system
- The usual Canon enhancements: HTP
- ALO
- Lens Peripheral Illumination
- Sharp
- Body probably not as rugged as mag-alloy 50D, AF assist only works when flash is up, though flash can be forced off, Auto-exposure not reliable in very low light, No in-camera image stabilization (lens based, 18-135mm kit lens has noticeable chromatic aberration and geometric distortion

Great Camera, Terrible Lens
The 2 lens that come with this bundle are garbage. both the 55-250mm and the 50mm lens have very narrow focal distances. Although the zoom is great, it is not practical at all when taking a normal picture. For scenery, portraits, or just some vacation photos, the lens are very inconvenient.
This camera performs well with its DIGIC 4 technology, and the Canon EOS 60D professional DSLR camera is a solid choice for anyone looking to take high-quality pictures. We are disappointed that the speed has dropped to 5.3 images per second, while the 50D shoots 6.3 images per second.
- It features good imaging specs
- improved battery life and HD video
- It has a smaller sensor size and is slower than the Canon 50D
Allows beginner to take professional looking pix
I bought this camera because I want to learn photography and hope to someday become a semi-professional. With my point-and-shoot, I "missed" so many shots of my kids, but with the 60D, I catch everything.- beautiful pictures
- easy to learn basic zones
- a little heavy and cumbersome when hanging around neck and chasing after small children
Canon EOS 60D DSLR
Although not particularly innovative – mostly borrowing features from other EOS models – the EOS 60D nicely fits the market section between beginner and semi-pro DSLR models. With virtually the same image quality of the EOS 7D plus a swivel LCD screen, the Canon EOS 60D is an accomplished DLSR that...

A mid-range DSLR that gets a gold star for both video and stills
Canon EOS 60D review
It's only natural to view the Canon 60D as a replacement for the semi-pro EOS 50D . As well as following on in typical numerical sequence, Canon also pronounced the EOS 50D obsolete at the same time as launching the new camera.

Advantages 1) 18.0 - megapixel APS-C CMOS Sensor - those remote bird shots can now be cropped even more without losing image quality. This is a big advantage compared to the older Canon models 50D (15.1MP), 40D (10.1MP) or 30D (8.2MP).- 18.0MP APS-C CMOS Sensor
- HD Video Capability
- In camera RAW processing
- attractive price
- Slower frame rate and smaller frame bursts compared to EOS 50D
- Build quality not as solid as EOS 50D
- only partial weather sealing
