Not cheap but it's excellent
Had one of these for the last 2 months and I have been impressed by just how good this Digital SLR really is. What makes it though is that swivel screen which really comes into it's own when shooting from a low or high angle or just for composing the scene.
Coming from the film era, still good memories of the EOS 1n, etc., I'm very pleased with digital, but the dslrs I've used up till now had always a plastic kind of fragile feeling, or they were far too heavy, being Nikon or Canon the feeling was more or less the same, in this respect.
Great for semi-pros Nice feel Easy to use Great Images (even better with lots of practise) Great choice of lens Bad Points: Dial and D pad are too close
- Wonderful first camera for those with greater needs than the 500/550/600Ds or the 1000D
Alot of camera for the bucks.
I will use the camera mostly for stills of people, family, nature and landscapess. I like the 18mp so I can print large photos for displatand exibits. Don't kniow any thing that would be a negative about the camera.- Easy To Use
- Fast / Accurate Auto-Focus
- Fast Shutter Speed
- Good Image Quality
- Good Image Stabilization
- High ISO Performance
- Large Clear LCD
- Quiet
- Tilt /Swivel LCD
- None
Great Camera, very happy
Very happy with my purchase of the 60D, a cracking camera with all of the features I need as an inexperienced photographer. The software provided with the camera (and, I think, all Canons, certainly all Canon SLRs) is very good, especially considering that the equivalent Nikon costs a chunk more- Durable
- Great Features
- Great Picture Quality
- Expensive
Half the price of a 5D
Practically as good as the 5D unless you are a proffessional photographer wanting images with a $2500 lense, this is an AWSOME camera and does everything a 5D or 7D does :-)
Simply the best.... price/quality
Just feel it and use it! Easy, semi-pro, all inclusive features, with the lens 18-200 is the best choice you can make and it's definitely not expensive.- Easy To Use
- Fast Shutter Speed
- Good Image Quality
- Good Image Stabilization
- High ISO Performance
- Large Clear LCD
- Tilt /Swivel LCD
- Lag / Shutter Delay
- Noisy At High ISO

Well worth it for Video
The 60D has become our go to camera. Knowing it's limitations and abilities (like any camera) is super important, but in this case we've been amazed more frequently than we've been disappointed.
