Canon T3i Digital Camera Review

One word comes to mind when discussing the Canon Rebel T3i: safe. Canon certainly found a very appealing formula with the T2i and is not looking to spoil the recipe by changing too much.

Very accurate colors; Great auto white balance

Poor resolution with the kit lens; The live view autofocus has issues

Review: Canon EOS Rebel T3i DLSR camera

The Canon EOS Rebel T3i with 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS optional kit lens is a complete picture taking machine. Beautiful and useful Vari Angle 3-inch LCD; Wireless flash transmitter for multiple flashes; Robust movie recording options including full HD; External mic jack; Clear; easy to use menu system and onscreen controls; Excellent image quality; even at ISO 1600; Versatile 18-135mm kit lens option

Some physical controls (such as Display button) oddly placed; Lack of single button movie recording; Auto White Balance struggles in most indoor lighting conditions--a traditional Canon weakness

The flip out screen is fantastic. I actually use it way more than I thought I would. The HD Video is also brilliant. I shoot alot of live music and the sound quality without a mic is great, however if you want 'perfect' sound you can plug a mic into it.

An absolutely fantastic camera; I'm a professional and use it for my professional work, and everything else

Canon EOS 600D

A superb digital camera, but a botched attempt to appeal to HD video buffs mars the 600D's appeal

Canon EOS 600D

The 600D offers everything that the 550D does, and more. It's worth the additional $200, particularly if you're not ready for the more advanced 60D.

Canon EOS 600D

Tweet The Canon EOS 550D was a pretty damn good dSLR and now the 600D, Canon's flagship entry-level model, continues with this winning formula.

Vari-angle screen; new video improvements; in-camera filter effects

Live focusing during video recording still a hassle

Canon EOS 600D review Review

The Canon EOS 600D isn't much to look at, but it's a great performer, and its creative features and helpful nature make it an excellent choice for both beginners and enthusiasts looking to replace an older dSLR.

Useful fold-out screen; Numerous video features; Plenty of on-board help and creative tools

Run-of-the-mill design; Plasticky feel

Canon Rebel T3i Review

The Rebel T3i continues the tradition of the entry-level line of Canon DSLRs by staying at the top of the pile – although, it is closely surrounded by the likes of the Nikon D5100 and the T3i's bigger, badder brother, the 60D .
