As more and more people are exposed to photography on their smartphones, the "awakening" spreads that a DSLR is the "actual camera" they should buy. Canon announced its beginner's camera Canon ESO 1300D in March this year with supposedly a price tag that will let more people take up the hobby.

In order to continue to offer a great-value product, Canon hasn't done anything exciting here. A better processor, which could have increased frame rate and general operational speeds, would have been nice.
