Canon EOS Rebel T3 Review

The Rebel T3 is Canon's replacement for its successful entry-level camera, the Rebel XS. The T3 has been a long time coming in digital photography terms. It doesn't offer much in the way of surprises, but it's a compact and easy to use DSLR.

Basic screens to help beginners learn about the camera; Reliable metering; Accurate AF

Small viewfinder; Camera body feels cheaply constructed; Limited movie mode

Canon EOS Rebel T3 / 1100D

The EOS Rebel T3, or 1100D, is Canon's latest entry-level DSLR. Announced in February 2011, it comes no less than two and a half years after its predecessor, the EOS Rebel XS / 1000D; indeed it's such a long time in the digital camera industry, especially for Canon, that many wondered if the company...

Good image quality that's similar to modern 14 Mpixel rivals; Quick and easy access to many settings; Live View and HD video recording (albeit at 720p only); Supplied with decent RAW and remote control software

Plasticky body with no rubber surfaces - feels cheap, Continuous shooting buffer small; Slows down for RAW, Relatively small 2.7in screen, Weaker popup flash than many rivals

A great little DSLR worth your consideration.

Updated 8/6/13 Even though this camera was released back in early 2011, it still is a wonderful and simple camera to use which delivers excellent image quality under any shooting conditions.

Easy to Use

I like the ease of use of this camera. The only thing I would like to have added to the camera is simpler set of instructions for some of the more unconventional functions.

good battery life; quiet; Nice features/settings; Quick Start-up time; excellent image quality; Superior build quality; Bright LCD; Solid Operation; Lightweight/Portable; easy to use

Complicated controls/menu

good camera

Although this is a great camera and takes breath taking pictures, I did have one problem after 2 months of having this camera. I had a pixel burn out on it to where it showed a black spot in every picture. Luckily it is still under warranty to get it fixed because it has to do with the CMOS.

Easy To Use; Fast / Accurate Auto-Focus; Fast Shutter Speed; Good Image Quality; Good Image Stabilization; High ISO Performance; Large Clear LCD; Quiet; Tilt /Swivel LCD

It's a Hit!

I am not a professional photographer. I normally take pictures of friends and family. However, when I bought my new camera I became more interested in photography because it is so easy to use! I can take excellent, high quality pictures without worrying about getting set up.

Easy to use; Fast; High Quality; Long Battery Life; User friendly

bulky; Large

Canon EOS 1100D review Review

If you're considering getting into dSLR photography, the Canon EOS 1100D could be a good choice. It offers great value for money and an easy way for users of compact cameras to push their photo skills further.

Great value; Beginner-friendly; Optical viewfinder; Comparatively light

Looks disappointingly cheap

Canon EOS 1100D Digital SLR Review

is Canon's entry level camera, and is the second camera to be introduced since the 1000D. As the 300D through to the 600D range improved over the years, Canon increasingly came under pressure from other entry level DSLR models, often priced at a lower level than the range, therefore Canon introduced...

Excellent image quality; Excellent colour reproduction; Extremely low noise; Excellent battery life; Brilliant JPEG output; Easy to use menu system

Only 2fps continuous shooting when set to RAW; Basic kit lens is not image stabilised; IS version costs more; Value for money could be better; Lacks sensor cleaning technology

Canon EOS 1100D review

The EOS 1100D follows on from the 1000D as Canon's budget digital SLR aimed, like the Nikon D3100 , at those trading up from a compact camera for the first time.
