Canon EOS Rebel SL1 Review

Canon's Rebel SL1 prioritizes size and weight above all else, so it's missing features, but it's one of the most portable entry-level DSLRs available.

Reduced size and weight make this camera portable

It has poor battery life at just 340 shots per charge

Review: Canon EOS 100D

Having last year launched its first mirrorless-system camera – the EOS M – Canon seems determined to shrink its DSLR range, too. It's starting with the EOS 100D, which Canon claims is the smallest DSLR on the market.

Canon EOS 100D review

With increasing numbers of potential DSLR owners now opting for compact system cameras, many manufacturers are now rationalising their DSLR range rather than expanding it. With Canon's EOS M being one of the newest compact system cameras on the market, it is perhaps surprising that the company has...

FIRST LOOK: Canon EOS 100D

Although it's too early to make a firm pronouncement before we receive a review camera, we feel Canon has a real winner with the EOS 100D. Many photographers have been waiting for a capable, lightweight compact camera that can accept a wide range of lenses and accessories and merge seamlessly into...

Canon EOS 100D

The Canon EOS 100D marks something of a sea change for Canon as a response to the growing popularity of Compact System Cameras (CSCs). The model slots in to the company's EOS range of DSLRs – between the EOS 1100D and the Canon EOS 600D / EOS 700D – and bears the distinction of being both the...

Good design including rubberised handgrip; Creative filters feature live preview; Strikingly small body

Similar price to the Canon EOS 700D; AF system only features one cross-type point; Small design means small battery

Canon EOS 100D: Review

Bigger is better Americans say. That bigger is better. But in this photograph, slogan may have more or less sense depending on which characteristic is taken into consideration. If you talk about, then it is obvious Megapixel race to see who offers the highest resolution.

Excellent ergonomics thanks to details like the proximity sensor that turns off the screen when not in use; Image Quality

Impossible to replace the memory card and battery; Auto ISO with a minimum amount of time the shutter cannot be configured; Cannot customize the functions of the controls

All around great camera

I bought this camera right after Christmas because it was on sale for my sister. I've used it a few times since then and have really enjoyed the camera. I think it would be a good camera for someone who is newer to DLSR photography. The battery life and the image quality are great.
