Review: Canon EOS 1000D camera
Canon's 10-megapixel EOS 1000D digital SLR slots in below the 12-megapixel 450D in the manufacturer's range. At £499 (for the lightweight body only, without a lens), it offers the least expensive entry into the Canon SLR system, which includes over 60 compatible lenses and accessories.

Canon EOS 1000D DSLR camera
Canon's range of DLRs seem to have gone through something of a phase shift, moving the specs up the range and allowing Canon to create a new entry-level point for the new digital EOS 1000D, under the current EOS 450D.
Pros:
- Live View
- SD card compatibility
- great quality images
- focusing and colour
Cons:
- Live View feels like an after-thought
- price

I am so pleased with this camera. When I take pictures I use my left eye and this camera allowes me to do that very easily. Its light weight, compact, and easy to use and understand. Great camera for beginners but can grow with the users knowledge too.

Okay sports parents, now is your chance to take newsworthy am-cam photos, because Canon's entry-level 1000D will be the next 10 million pixel SLR that takes your photography further than just point and shoot.
