Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM

Conclusions The Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM is a solid zoom lens. It delivers crisper images than the 18-55mm that ships with many entry-level Rebel cameras, and more than doubles its zoom range.

7.5x zoom ratio; Crisp optics; Smooth Live View focus; Optical stabilization; Power Zoom accessory available

Shows some distortion; Dim corners at widest aperture

REVIEW: Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM Review

The 18-135mm is an excellent focal length range for general purposes, this example from Canon being designed for APS-C format DSLRs. This equates to an approximation of the 28-200mm "superzooms" that were once very popular for full frame cameras.

Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM Lens Review

The EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM Lens is attractive on many fronts, including its wide (7.5x) focal length range, its relatively small size and light weight, its fast, smooth and accurate autofocusing, its great functionality including image stabilization and its modest price.

Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM

Wow! What a great speed. Fast and accurate. The newest NANO USM drive is incredibly fast and accurate. Using it on my 100D, 80D, M50 and now the M5. Great lens for every day walk around.

One of the fastest lenses around for AF; On any system! IQ is very good for the range

Nothing for the price

Lens Test: Canon EF-S 18-135MM F/3.5-5.6 IS AF

Bundled often as a kit with the Canon EOS 7D and 50D, this APS-C format zoom ($450, street) is for shooters who want more than a bare-bones 18–55mm kit lens without paying $575 (street) for the extra reach of Canon's 18–200mm IS superzoom.

The Canon EF-S 18-135/3.5-5.6 IS is a wide to telephoto zoom and gives the same angle of view range as a 28-216mm lens would on a full frame 35mm camera. This range covers a lot of applications from landscapes at the 18mm wide end, through portrait shots in the 50-80mm range and on to sports and...

Great all-purpose Super35mm lens

This lens basically lives on my Canon C100. It has a great zoom range, it's lightweight, compact, and sharp. With the addition of the PZ-E1 Power Zoom Adapter, it operates much like an ENG lens, capable of smooth zoom shots.

Great versatile lens

I purchased this lens with my new Canon 80D. I have find it to be my "go to" for most of my photography! My first assignment was photographing our local rodeo! I was amazed at the quality and crisp images! I am traveling to Europe and I plan on using this as my primary lens!
