This lens is a sleeper. IQ is great for the price. image stabilization seems up to Canon's claimed 4 stop. I've handheld 1/5 sec and have razor sharp images. Vignetting and distortion is easily corrected in post. The 22mm f/2 and 11-22 get all the glory but do not discount this lens.

Great Lens! I have done some tests with it and it is sharp and the video isn't grainy. Autofocus during video is just fine! (Update) The pictures are definitely not sharp, good color, and autofocus is is slow because it is not usm. Not as sharp as an L Lens, but it works for now.

It's 100% better than 18-55 IS II. It's fast, quiet and sharp. Awesome for video. Front lens doesn't rotate. Ring of manual focusing is wide and convenient. I like it!

Great all purpose lens for the much maligned EOS- M. Since Canon released a new firmware update addressing the focussing speed the camera focusses much more quickly to a point where speed isn't an issue. The 18-55 lens is a great lens to keep attached for everyday use.

A must have for any EOS M owner. I owned two of the previous iterations of the 18-55mm (EF-S) and this one is clearly the sharpest. Pixel-peeping between this lens VS my 60D with the 15-85mm EF-S shows almost no noticeable différences (apart from the field of view obviously).

I bought two of these lenses, these are my everyday field lenses, you can't go wrong. Too good to pass at this price. Thanks.
