Replaced a couple of older lenses and now find this is is my main GoTo lens whenever the 28-300mm L IS II USM doesn't quite cut it (though that's rare).

I purchase this lens and took some shots, it has very accurate fast focus for both out door and indoor, images are tack sharp and excellent color rendered. I don't care it has the same optic line up same as Mark II, as long as it can produce excellent images, why should I care about same optic line...

Bought it specifically for taking volleyball pictures indoor. The lighting in our gyms are horrible, but with this new lens the pictures have been amazing..
