The Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS II USM is a solid upgrade to its predecessor, a lens with some flaws that prevented us from enthusiastically recommending it when we reviewed it. It delivers sharper results with less distortion, but still suffers from a loss of sharpness when zoomed.

Pro photographer in Atlanta...used the 2.8 24-70 until a recent trip to Rome where the intention was to use only one lens (landscapes, building, museums, artwork, etc.) with all the walking..70mm is slightly too short, so bought and used the 24-105. Worked perfectly. No low light problems.

I am very pleased with this lens. I had compared it to the 24 - 70 L and made the decision that the extra focal length would be better for my style of photography. Less glass than the f 2.8 makes it easier to carry all day and the extra stretch (105 mm) comes in handy. Nice bokeh and very sharp.

Great lens, very sharp and produces great photos. I use it with my Canon EOS 6D Mark II. Low light performance is okay, only goes down to F/4. But other than that is a great daytime travel lens. I've taken it to Rome, Amalfi Coast, Puerto Vallarta, Dominican Republic, very durable lens.

Well built lens, which I am currently using on a Canon 7D Mark 2 so I am not really getting the wide angle benefit at this time. The photos are very sharp and I intend to upgrade to the Canon 5D Mark 4 to fully appreciate the lens.

When Canon announced the EOS 5D Mark IV last year, it arrived on the scene at the same time as two new full-frame optics: the EF 16-35mm f/2.8L III USM, and the revamped EF 24-105mm f/4L IS II USM. Both lenses play a key role in Canon's EF full-frame lineup.

I purchased this product during the Boxing Week sales at a terrific price. It is a terrific general purpose quality lens that I needed in my kit bag of Canon L lenses.
