This lens is simply great. The only concern I had about it was the sharpness in the corners but being a landscape photographer and shooting mostly at F8 and up, I don't have a single complaint. The zoom range is great, colours are fantastic and build quality is, well it is an L lens!
Have just gotten my first full frame camera and wanted a wide angle lens to go with my new camera, my crop frame wide angle lens sadly would not fit my new camera. I have always shot with canon cameras and canon L lens, but had now I have moved over to a Sony mirrorless a7ii full frame camera with a...
like weight not so expensive L lens
Nothing at this price point
This lens has been my go to for landscape photography for several Years and the images has been sharp as a tack .
I bought this lens while I was away in my Military training, and coming back home to find me a nice looking lens. The condition was mint, although with some scratches as mentioned. I kept it safe and sound in my bag and used it 2 times without any problem. On the 3rd usage, the zoom did not work.
I have recently used this lens for landscape and seascape images in mostly good outdoor light on two full-frame cameras, namely the EOS 5D and EOS 5D Mark III respectively. Although it covers a range of focal lengths I already had mostly covered by three prime lenses, I did not previously possess...
Robust and impressive build quality with smooth handling; relatively lightweight; reliable autofocus; familiar vibrant Canon colours; Well priced (at least by 'L' standards)
Very weak corner resolution at 17mm below f/11 on full-frame; The bulbous and ugly lens hood is large, obtrusive and awkward to pack unattached
Great value L glass lens. I got this lens to upgrade from my kit lens for my Canon Rebel T5. Just tested this lens out by taking exhibit hall and cosplay photos at San Diego Comic Con.
Paired this lens with Canon 6D. Sitting on on tripod, stopped down for real estate photography, no IS required. Images are sharp. I use OEM software to correct for distortion and lens optimization. I'm very pleased with the purchase. Canon L glass, at this price, recommends itself .
Canon glass with Canon DSLR equals peace of mind about compatibility
F4 not really fast enough in low light situations without IS
