Reasonably priced for a Canon L-series lens, the EF 16-35mm f/4L IS USM is also a top performer...
I am shooting more architectural and interiors lately and I found a deal on a clean used F4/IS. I've found the images to be sharp, nice contrast and colors.
A nice combination of focal length, speed and price; When you add IS, this lens is a bargain; I believe the F4/IS is as sharp, has comparable color and contrast as the F2.8II but not at the level of the F2.8III
Beautiful lens. Snapped it up on special at a great price. Wonderful on Canon 6Dmk2.
It is hard not to be happy with this lens, between its IS & durable yet lightweight build, it is the best wide angle for action sports, landscapes and general purpose shooting. With it being F/4, I've never found it to be a limiting factor and couldn't be more happy with its edge to edge sharpness.
Not a lens that I use a lot but it is great for that wedding photo with a difference - the group photo or a close up of the couple with a great background. Also good for interior shots where flash is not permitted
I have used this lens for 8 months, almost all shots outside, mostly landscapes, and mostly with a crop frame 77D where the focal length is more like 26-56. I have used it on a 5D mark IV as well. The biggest upside surprise is how well it works as a macro for wildflowers.
Was going back and forth between this one and the f/2.8 variant. I haven't found a need for the f/2.8 yet and I shoot often with this lens. Gets extremely wide on a FF camera. Highly suggested for group shots.
I wanted this lens just for landscape photography. I also have a Canon 24-70mm F/4 which is great. It's just that sometimes I needed a wider view. This lens deliveres and is perfect for any landscape photographer.
I was looking for a wide angle zoom lens for my EOS 6D and while the EF 16-35mm f/4L IS USM is not the most affordable option I feel like it's worth every penny. On the 20 megapixel sensor of the 6D it delivers sharpness at every focal length and every aperture from corner to corner. It also shows little to no chromatic aberrations and handles flare very well. All around a professional level lens that never lets you down.
