Canon EF 16-35 mm f/2.8L III USM
Taking into account the fact that the first lens of that type was launched already in 1996 and five years later the company showed a model with a bit wider focal range we were surprised that the next version of the lens, marked as II and launched in 2007, was a fail.
Pros:
- solid casing
- excellent image quality in the frame centre
- very good image quality on the edge of the APS-C sensor
- good image quality on the edge of full frame
- imperceptible longitudinal chromatic aberration
- lack of serious problems with lateral chromatic aberration
- moderate spherical...
Cons:
- a bit too high coma for the longer end of focal range
- monstrous vignetting on full frame
