I've owned this lens since it was released... two years ago. Firstly, don't confuse it with it's predecessor, the mark 1. The mark I was one of the most controversial lenses, where people either loved it or hated it.

I have had one of these for a couple of years and I continue to be blown away by it. Canon has produced a simply stunniung piece of glass. The performance is so fast and smooth and razor sharp. It does have a bit of weight to it and the combination of my 5DmkIII weighs in at some 6lb.

An amazing lens for the serious amateur and professional alike. Just Google the product for reviews and there's nothing less than four stars. Many five stars! Purchasing through John Lewis and able to collect the product from my local Waitrose was simple and reliable. Delivery was within 48 hours

Canon EF lenses are the best. This particular lens has great stability, lets in so much light and is light weight compared to the previous version.

I have owned a number of large tele lenses, but the 100-400 stands alone in its combination of outstanding optics whilst staying super light. I know a lot of seasoned wildlife photographers who swear by this lens. Its great value, super sharp and very wieldy.
