Save for a few novel ideas, Call of Juarez: The Cartel is, by far, the fledgling franchise's worst installment in nearly every possible way. The visuals are no exception. The first thing you'll notice is the amazingly ugly pixelated grey font the developers have chosen for the user interface.

The first Call of Juarez game appeared on Xbox 360 way back it 2007. At that time, Gamers and Critics praised the game mainly because it was one of the best shooters in Wild West with great storyline with interesting and engaging characters.

Shooter Nobody said anything about the Cholo! is a somewhat bipolar game. Not quite in the extreme sense of good-evil but more like the nice guy in class, a bit dim, although he will try really hard, he helps people if possible but will on occasion crack a stupid racist joke.

You have to wonder if the voice actors for the latest instalment of the Call of Juarez franchise were paid in the form of a swear jar. If that was the case, the cast would likely be millionaires by now.

A once respectable franchise has been irreversibly tarnished by this steaming turd known as Call of Juarez: The Cartel.

At one point there were not enough Western shooter games. You had efforts like GUN from Neversoft (the guys who made the Tony Hawk skateboarding games), and you had mods for Quake 3 that simply lacked anything from the good old days.
