Best campaign in years; Incredible visuals; Strong, classic multiplayer;
Very disappointing co-op; If you’re bad at multiplayer, then you’ll suffer;

Before I purchased this game, I was reading and seeing very poor reviews about this game, which made me slightly hesitant in buying it. I'm so glad I did though! You need to experience it for yourself and make your own mind up about it. It seems to be one of those love it or hate it games.
The original Modern Warfare was one of my favourites so I had no choice but to get this. So much fun, great story and gameplay along with the graphics it near perfect. Not tried the online features yet but will be ASAP.
Call of Duty is undeniably a piece of propaganda fiction that glamorises and bolsters the image of war, as well as the perspective and ‘righteousness' of western forces. That said, the campaign of this reboot of Modern Warfare tries heavy handedly, and at times problematically, to more fully and...
+ Complex storytelling; + Varied and impactful gameplay; + Polished and diverse multiplayer
- Heavy handedness; - Ethically inconsistent; - Spec Ops under-served
GameCentral reviews the entirety of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare, including the multiplayer, Spec Ops, and story campaign.
A mountain of content bound together by Call Of Duty's typically excellent gunplay and map design; Gunfight and Ground War are both welcome additions and the graphics are very impressive
The campaign doesn't have the narrative courage to finish what it starts; Multiplayer has few genuinely new features and low TTK can be a problem; Special Ops is super hard and not much fun
If we look at the array of most recent releases from the franchise – such as last year’s Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 , we had been inundated with crazy jumps, awful weapons and some fad-style game modes. We had also lost the campaign or just been presented with an awful campaign.
Although not quite the return to greatness that many fans were hoping for, this reboot of the Modern Warfare series manages to hold its own against the glut of online shooters currently available and offers enough tweaks and revisions to the core gameplay to justify dipping into yet another annual...
A passable entry in the long-running series, the latest Modern Warfare is polished but lacks creativity. It’s certainly more of the same as a return to a once-beloved sub-series. Sadly, it fails to invigorate and impress on the same level as the groundbreaking Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare .
While it can’t have the same level of impact as the original MW, this reboot strikes hard with an intense and dark campaign, a great co-op mode and a decent multiplayer. Multiplayer may have played it a bit safe, but overall it’s a good return to form for a series that has had mixed entries over the...
It's a great game. Single, multi, Co-op modes. Absolutely fantastic
