Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 review

The tightest gun play a Call of Duty game has delivered in a long, long time - perhaps ever.

Exceptional gun-feel; Superb balancing; Great audio

Zombies can feel overly obtuse; Tone of Specialists HQ is a little off; Story stuff hidden in hard to detect challenges

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Review

T he Call of Duty franchise has followed a pretty predictable template when it comes to content in the yearly shooter. There's always been a strong competitive multiplayer component. Due to popular demand, zombies has become a yearly inclusion.

Pure Brilliance!

Most probably the best Call Of Duty for a long time! Definitely worth a buy in my opinion, this version comes along with a season pass, as well as some other smaller physical items such as badges and art cards. After a month of playing, I've had no errors, crashes, or problems at all!

Positives + A great; all-encompassing package + Gunplay feels excellent + Blackout is a contender for best Battle Royale mode

Negatives; Menu can be a little fiddly; First couple of hours can be punishing

No campaign, no problem

No campaign, no problem After more testing beyond our review in progress, my view hasn't changed all that much. Your mileage may vary depending on how much you weigh each mode. Let's stick with the same format we used in the review in progress, shall we: but this time, with numbers!

Call of Duty has been, for many years running, a Jekyll and Hyde franchise. Whether the titular game, the Black Ops spinoffs or the Modern Warfare incarnations, the series has tried to satisfy both hardcore online shooter fans and single-player FPS devotees.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 - Zombies Review

Black Ops 4's Zombies is the showcase of a confident team that has iterated and improved the formula they created. The addition of a tutorial, a more streamlined single player experience, and a wealth of match customisation shows Treyarch wants everyone to experience what the studio has been...
