Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Review – A New Breed of Triple Threat

The Black Ops 4 map and mode combo is one of the most compelling Call of Duty launch day line-ups that I've ever experienced. Usually, there's a map or two that I will hate from day one or a mode that I'll just outright avoid forever, but Treyarch has exceeded expectations here.

Multiplayer; Blackout; and Zombies are the ultimate triple threat; Blackout is a superb first-time effort at battle royale; Tutorials are fantastic to see; Absence of story mode is made up for

Lack of cosmetic unlocks for Operators; Bots suck most of the time; Plenty of bugs; glitches; and crashing issues need fixing; Tags

Great game.

Deserves it's reputation. If you're a fan of the franchise like me you'll be glad to know the developers have done us proud. It's ashame about there being no campaign but still a cracking game online with mates.

On his bday & Christmas list!

I bought this for my nephew as a bday gift a week before his bday; however, it didn't arrive in time so will be gifting it for Christmas. I know he'll love it since it was on his list of wants! Even bought this for my 13 year old son too.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4: "Multiplayer shines like never before"

The lack of campaign is sorely missed in this bold new direction for Call of Duty, but the multiplayer shines like never before.

Multiplayer is refreshing - the best we've seen in years; Blackout is solid for Call of Duty's first attempt at battle royale; Zombies maps are unique and interesting

Blackout feels more luck-based than any other battle royale game; Zombies isn't a suitable narrative replacement for a campaign; Frame rate drops and crashes marred our experience on PC

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 - PlayStation 4

As a big fan of the Call of Duty series, I actually have been skipping recent Call of Duty video games because I just felt like they weren't as fun as back in the day of Black Ops 1, Modern Warfare and even Black Ops 2.

Black Ops 4 Is not like other Call of Duty's

I think that this game should be for 12+ because first of all the gore and violence in game should be for 18+ but you can turn of graphic content, which essentialy makes it like a cartoon shooter with no blood, no limbs being severed, no swearing. The game is easily made for 12+ by turning that off.

Great game for adults, not children!

This game is rated MATURE 17+ so parents, don't buy this game for your kids. It's for grown ups, not 12 year olds. Keep your children on fortnite where they belong. Xbox just started free trials of the blackout portion of this and I'm hearing too many prepubescent voices on my headset and it hurts...

Call of Duty: Black Ops IIII (PlayStation 4) Review

It's hard to pinpoint precisely why Call of Duty: Black Ops IIII is a far more enjoyable proposition than its immediate predecessors but Treyarch has somehow managed to crank up the fun factor to the point where even repeatedly dying to far superior players has ceased to be irritating.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 review

Black Ops 4 is the best Call of Duty in years. This is a shooter that can (and likely will) bring back people who dabble but never stick with it. Sure, it borrows from some of the best on the market, but crucially, it nails the gun-feel like it hasn’t in some time. It’s still a beast in terms of content, but honestly, it’s hard to pick major fault with it. Sure, some will miss the usually brilliantly bombastic single player, and while zombies is bigger than ever it’s also more confusing, with so much to learn and so many modes. Ultimately, newcomers will probably be put off before they discover its brilliance. But none of this stops Black Ops 4 from being the best entry the series has seen for years. The only real question left hanging in the air has nothing to do with the “numbers” Black Ops is so fond of. No, it’s a far simpler question that is going to be very difficult to answer: where on earth does Call of Duty go next? On that note, we’re going to have to wait and see, but Treyarch’s 2018 game has knocked it out of the park.

Blackout is a superb take on Battle Royale; Guns feel amazing; Fast paced action that anyone can jump into; If you love Zombies, this is the ultimate CoD;

Terrible voiceover in the tutorials; Daft menu system; Zombies is so big it’s confusing; Split screen Blackout is awful;
