Booting up a new Call of Duty game often conjures up a feeling of deja vu. Part of me is teleported back in time to 2009, playing hours on end of Modern Warfare 2 on a warm school night, crafting makeshift aluminium Wi-Fi boosters to maintain a faster connection. Fortunately, a lot has changed.

One of my favourite things to do in Blackout, Call of Duty's take on battle royale, is to crash through windows. I know it makes a lot of noise, I know it alerts nearby enemies to my position and I know there's a door right next to the window. But I just can't help myself. Sprint, vault, smash!
