Brother MFC-J825DW

2.5
Verdict: It's outclassed as a photo printer but Brother's MFC-J825DW doesn't even offer much in the way of advanced office features to help it stand out from the bunch (includes Canon PIXMA MX926 , HP Photosmart 7520 and Epson Expression Premium XP-700 ).

Brother MFC-J825DW multifunction inkjet printer

4.2
Pros: Feature-packed, Limited Web connectivity
Cons: Low paper capacity
Verdict: Low paper input capacity and cost-cutting starter inks shouldn't turn you away from the Brother MFC-J825DW. Its print quality is more than good enough for occasional or regular printing needs, and it's got a comprehensive set of features.

Verdict: The MFC-J825DW is one of the most fully-featured inkjet MFPs in Brother's range. It can print, scan, copy and fax, connect to wired or wireless networks, and print photos directly from a memory card.

This multifunction inkjet printer can do everything a basic home office needs

4.2
Pros: Feature-packed, Limited Web connectivity
Cons: Low paper capacity
Verdict: The Brother MFC-J825W, at $229, represents the higher end of home office multifunction inkjet printers. As you'd expect it's got every feature that this price-point demands: an automatic document feeder, a split photo/plain paper tray, scan/copy/fax built-in, a 3.3in touchscreen and direct printing...

Brother MFC-J825DW review

4.0
Pros: Compact, four-in-one printer; good text and photo output at respectable speeds; reasonably priced ink
Cons: Needs software update for Lion and AirPrint
Verdict: It's not as sleek as the HP Envy 110, but Brother's new MFC-J825DW is still pretty neatly designed considering that it crams a printer, scanner, copier and fax machine into its compact black chassis.

Performance, Features, Reliability, Price Make Brother Color All-in-One MFC-J825DW a Winner!

Verdict: I first had hands-on with this printer back in August and recommended it for the back-to-school crowd.  Now, after using it since that time, I am even more a fan of this little wonder.  That is why I am recommending the MFC-J825DW as a wonderful holiday (and any time) choice for homes, dorms and

Pros: iPrint&Scan for easy phone transfer, Fast print and copy for class, CD/DVD direct print
Cons: Pale colour copies, Fiddly photo paper tray, Plain paper print quality only average

Cons: Print quality could be improved, Cost per page with standard cartridges: 19.9 pence, Impractical paper loader, Paper jam risk

Review: Brother MFC-J825DW offers mid-priced MFP features and CD/DVD printing

3.0
Pros: Peppy speed, CD/DVD printing
Cons: No automatic duplex scanning, Mediocre scan quality
Verdict: Brother's new $150 MFC-J825DW color inkjet multifunction printer (print/scan/copy/fax) is a budget-friendly choice for your small or home office, enhanced by a few higher-end features, namely CD/DVD printing and some Web connectivity. A two-year warranty sweetens the deal.

Brother MFC-J825DW

4.0
Pros: Prints, scans, copies, faxes. Automatic document feeder. Connects with selected Web sites including Picasa and Google Docs
Cons: Low paper capacity. No paper handling options. Text quality is a touch below par for inkjet MFPs
Verdict: The Brother MFC-J825DW ($150 street), also available as the MFC-835DW with only superficial differences, manages to largely match expectations for a Brother inkjet multi-function printer (MFP) while also providing a few surprises.

Great Printer -- Great Price -- Beats HP

2.0
Verdict: I use to use a HP Printer but every time I needed ink, I would spend $75 to $100 for the XL Ink. I got tired of spending $$ on ink. So, this time; I wanted something that could fax, copy, do double sided, & print directly on the CD/DVD, instead of using labels & this printer does it all.

These are very good, but expect a problem if you try them as wireless.

5.0
Verdict: This is a first class printer/copier/fax. I am able to order excellent compatible ink cartridges at a very low price, but great quality, significantly reducing my stationery costs in my company. Only problem is the printer's wireless operation.

"Great all in 1 printer, certainly ticks all the boxes for me."

5.0
Pros: Great print, scan, copy quality, cheap compatible inks, front loading paper tray, excellent UI
Cons: Poorly placed ports for USB, power, telephone etc
Verdict: After having problems with paper feed on my 15 months old HP printer (prior to this HP I had an earlier HP printer that was trouble free for 6 years, but my last experience with HP was that the build quality was lower in the later model I got).

Quality Printer

5.0
Pros: This is a feature packed printer. text printing is much improved over brother printers of a few years ago. Very easy set up in Ubuntu Linux. Very good photo prints (read the manual on which options to choose for Best quality prints). Will allow custom printer ICC profiles to be used.
Cons: It is a little slow to start the first page of print after the machine is in standby
Verdict: I used a Brother printer for years. When it failed I decided to try an HP, as I had heard how great the Linux support was. The HP was actually much harder to install and the Quality of Photo prints was much worse.

Absolutely perfect

5.0
Verdict: My Epson was a great machine, fantastic quality prints, but only when it chose to work. I had many frustrations with the ink - the cartridges were full but the microchip swore they were empty and refused to print anything until I replaced the perfectly good cartridge. What a waste of money!

Great Value for Practical average printing works

5.0
Verdict: Initially, I was aiming at Canon MX 885 as my benchmark for printing speed/quality based on my research on a few website reviews. I made up my mind until I saw the actual physical unit in the store. The printer is bulky and the built quality is not to my liking.

3.0
Pros: Easy To Use, Quiet
Cons: Flimsy Construction, Hard Setup, Large Footprint
Verdict: I have never installed anything on my computer that was more of a PITA, than the software for this printer. It was absolutely ridicules. Be careful where you grab it if you want to move it. It's very easy to stick your fingers where they may break the flimsy case.
