Brother MFC-J430W review
The Brother MFC-J430W is a squat device that can print, scan, copy and fax. There's also a smallish colour display and wireless networking, but no wired Ethernet connection or memory card slots. This is an office-orientated device, though, so memory card slots aren't a surprising omission.

Brother MFC-J430W review
Brother's MFC-J430W is one of the cheaper and more compact printers in this group. It doesn't have quite the same speed and capacity as some of its rivals, so it probably won't be ideal for an office where a number of people will need to share the printer.
Pros:
- Compact
- affordable printer with scanner
- copier and fax features
Cons:
- Modest print speeds in high quality mode
- colour printing price could be more competitive

Brother MFC-J430W
A home office MFP that's affordable to buy and run, but its performance is only average

Brother MFC-J430W
Brother's range of personal inkjet all-in-ones all look suspiciously similar, but the company manages to differentiate them by careful choice of features and prices. The MFC-J430W sits just above entry-level and is a little more austere than some of its pricier siblings.
Pros:
- Well-featured software bundle
- Easy to use
- ‘inverted' ADF
- Wireless connection with WPS
Cons:
- Pale colour photo copies
- No photo card readers
- Small LCD display

The $99 MFC-J430W has many features important to small and home offices, and it prints good-looking documents respectably fast. But $50 more could land you a much more full-featured printer. Choose cautiously.
Pros:
- High-quality prints
- copies
- and scans
- Fast
- Entry-level price
Cons:
- No automatic duplexer
- Somewhat high cost of consumables
- Slow processing when printing pages in reverse order

Brother MFC-J430W review Review
Overall, the MFC-J430W isn't a bad printer for the money, especially as it includes an automatic document feeder and prints pages speedily.
Pros:
- Fast print speeds
- On-board Wi-Fi
- Automatic document feeder
Cons:
- Feathering on bolded text
- Colours in graphics and photos are a little washed out

Brother MFC-J430w review
The Brother MFC-J430w is a compact multifunction printer that gives good performance with reasonable ink costs - unusual for such a low price.

Great value for the money.
The print quality is excellent, setup is very easy and the OCR software included is promising. A little less noise and vibration would be nice, but for what I paid for it and what we expect ask of it, the bargain is ours. I used the included DVD for the initial setup on my laptop.
Pros:
- It's a low cost, ($69 I paid on sale), easy to set up and use all in one
- And the print quality has been close to excellent
Cons:
- Like other inkjet printers I have used, it shakes a bit
- And the plastic used in it's case and parts, while adequately strong enough, does seem a bit on the flimsy side

Brother MFC-J430W
This is a multi function unit (it has fax) and it can connect either by USB or Wi-Fi. In fact I used both with equal success. I did however have a failure as no matter what I tried it refused to feed photo paper in any way.
