Disappointed with my first Brother Printer
After years of buying Epson printers I decided to switch brands because of Epson's ever increasing efforts to squeeze as many ink purchases as possible from the Consumer. I selected Brother because they have a good reputation however while the MFC-J430W printer produces good quality print and is...

Replaced HP with better product
First time Brother user.Gave up on HP after third all-in-one. Very pleased with this machine.Wireless use is great-provides much flexibility-don't have to use desk space. Was concerned about the number of ink cartridges until I checked the cost--MUCH lower than HPs.Fast,Quiet. Glad I made the switch.
Pros:
- Compact Design
- Easy To Use
- Fast
- Inexpensive Ink Supply
- Quiet
- Wireless
Cons:
- Wireless setup

Brother MFC-J430W Review
The MFC-J430W by Brother, one of the largest and well-known manufacturers of MFP and AIO units, is an all-in-one printer which features print, scan, copy and fax. Most of these AIOs are usually similar in looks, but differ in features. Let's have a look at what this one has to offer.

Brother MFC-J430w
Unlike most $100 inkjet multi-function printers (MFPs), the Brother MFC-J430w ($100 street)-also available through some sources as the MFC-J425w-leans much more toward being office-centric rather than being a home printer.
Pros:
- Prints, scans, copies, and faxes
- WiFi
- Better than par text quality
- Fast speed for business applications
Cons:
- No wired network support
- Slow photo speed
- Low paper input capacity

- Prints
- scans
- copies and faxes
- Fast for business applications
- Built-in Wi-Fi
- Above average text quality

Good Printer
I do like this printer. I' haven't been able to play with printing photos on it due to my lack of photo paper-so i can't judge that yet. It sure does cycle a lot in copying or printing. I leave the printer on and it cycles itself at least once a day on top of in between copies or printing...

Brother MFC-J430W
This is a multi function unit (it has fax) and it can connect either by USB or Wi-Fi. In fact I used both with equal success. I did however have a failure as no matter what I tried it refused to feed photo paper in any way.
