Several aspects are disappointing, and I wouldn't have bought this model if I'd known of them. I had a very effective Brother HL2140, but needed to replace a scanner, so I bought this as the replacement.

This is my first printer and I am very happy with my purchase. Very easy to set up and to use. Good quality of the print. Good value for the money.

Pros This is a quick printer with a small footprint. Despite the small cartridge it will easily do the stated 1000 copies and more (700 from the starter cartridge). The print is clear and crisp and so far no paper jams. The software supplied is easy to use. Cons No USB cable supplied.

I wanted a replacement all-in-one laser printer/scanner to provide all my required functionality in one device. I didn't need colour printing any more but did want a decent colour scanner to produce several document formats for attaching to emails.
