Smells like burning paint when on, covered in scratches even on the replacement as the first one was extremely scratched. isnt very durable and the non stick finish starts to ware off after a couple of washes in the dishwasher

I bought this 2 months ago and today it has broken. It lost its non stick and the pot scratches galore. Spend bit more and get the better one.

All those other reviews are genuine, I had the same issue. coating comes off and its loose particles mixes with the cooked rice. Stay away!!

Disappointed with the quality of the products materials, which has reduced compared to my last breville rice cooker, which I was replacing due to the coating wearing off. I can already see small spots where the coating is wearing off around where the lid sits and it’s only been a month or 2 since I purchased it. Hopefully the inside coating will last longer - and yes I only use the plastic spoon that comes with it. Wished I could have just purchased a replacement bowl for my old breville rice cooker. Would love for there to be a stainless steel or hard anodized bowl that the coating does not wear off. Cooks rice beautifully, however does spit water and bubble out over edges of lid making a mess when cooking more than 2 measuring cups of rice. Should probably have bought the bigger unknown brand of rice cooker that was displayed beside it in the shop.

The new coating of the inner container looks much better than the older ones I have been using. Hope that it will last longer. I wonder if there is replacement parts available for the inner container. If there is, then it is very good service because the coating wears out very fast, making the whole appliance useless.
